Tensile is an independent design and engineering studio in Lisbon, founded in 2016 by Inês Moreira and Tomás Reis. Fourteen people design and build products for SaaS, fintech and AI companies, with the same team from the first workshop to launch.
We stay small so the people you meet in the first call are the people who do the work. No account managers, no handoffs to a team you never met.
How we work

Write it down first
Every project starts with a written plan. If we cannot explain a decision in a sentence, we are not ready to design it.

Design the hard states
Empty, loading, error and edge cases get designed before the happy path looks good.

Ship every week
A staging link every Friday, from week six on. Progress you can click is the only progress we count.

Leave a system behind
We hand over a design system and code your team can extend without us.
